  • OUR INSPECTION PROCESS

    The INSPECTION

    During your EXTERIOR inspection, John - a Certified Master Inspector - will examine the structural integrity, siding and shingles of your home. He will check for cracks, grading and other weaknesses that could potentially affect your home’s structural integrity and examine the siding for damage, wear due to age or other issues. Additionally, he will inspect the roof for inadequate shingles, blocked gutters and deterioration.


    During your INTERIOR inspection, he will thoroughly examine your home systems to ensure they are in working order.All homes are scanned with a thermal imager to verify our findings. These systems include your furnace, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. Additionally, he will examine your doors and windows for quality and potential leaks.


    A typical home inspection takes approximately 3 to 5 hours and covers all areas of the home available for inspection.
     

    *Disclaimer Weather conditions or other circumstances may prevent the Inspector from examining all aspects of the home. If an aspect of the home cannot be inspected, these items will be clearly indicated in the home inspection report provided to you.

    The REPORT

    Your detailed electronic home inspection report will provide you with accurate results of the condition of your home, allowing you to make informed decisions about potential repairs needed or items of concern to be addressed before purchasing or listing the home for sale.

     

    The report will include:

    • a rating for each item inspected.
    • full-colour, highly-detailed descriptions of potential issues and helpful observations. 
    • A memory stick containing 300-500 interior/exterior photographs and your inspection report. 
    • Same day delivery - meaning you know the quality of the home within hours of your inspection taking place.

    John Lapointe is a Certified Master Inspector with nearly 50 years experience in the construction, finishing, and renovation industries, and will complete a full exterior and interior inspection of your new home and provide you with a comprehensive home inspection report.
     

    Carol Lapointe handles matters of administration, scheduling and preparing the inspection reports.
